Today Hurricane Arthur strikes through Nova Scotia (although it has been downgraded to a tropical storm)
and I figured I should probably mention it. Nothing very bad has happened in Halifax but I know that elsewhere in Nova Scotia has seen some issues. I got to go home early from work though because of the power outage, so hey, thanks Arthur.
Climate change. That thing crazy people like to deny. Let's pretend none of these people are around and state the fact that climate change can affect the intensity and frequency of these storms. Rise in sea level which we are seeing can also make these storms worse. Now I'm not saying that these storms happen because of climate change, these are natural occurring systems, however, rising sea levels and increased temperatures due to human impact on the planet has allowed for more intense storms
